Bella Essentials was founded by Aimee Snow and Jennifer Hohlfelder, who together have years of experience with natural products. During their own pregnancies, they searched for skin care products that would treat the special needs and challenges of motherhood, use safe natural ingredients, and yet be pampering and pleasant.

When no existing products met their standards, Jennifer and Aimee were inspired to create a healthful, luxurious personal care line that could keep mothers-to-be and new mothers feeling comfortable, cherished, and lovely. Bella Mama was born from this vision in Boulder, Colorado in 1999.

Like all births, it brought something entirely new into the world-using all the wisdom of nature's oldest traditions.
